Phase 1 & 2 Win Silver at the Canadian National Pool & Spa Association Awards!

Pier 27 Pool

If there’s one thing we pride ourselves on, it’s working with great designers across all aspects of our projects. Everything from the interior, exterior, to amenity design is carefully planned out so that our owners not only have a functional and liveable space, but so they’re proud to show it off.

Back in December our work at Pier 27 Phase 1 and 2 with Munge Leung, architects Alliance, and Dominus, was honoured by the Canadian National Pool and Spa Association at the 35th annual Canadian Pool and Spa Conference and Expo in Niagara. The two-day expo had over 125 companies from the pool and spa industry showing off their products, in addition to the National Awards ceremony that took place. We’re happy to announce that the pools at both Phase 1 and 2 of Pier 27 took home Silver Awards at the ceremony: Best Special Use Pool Across Canada and Best Public Swim Spa!

These awards are really huge achievements because we were up against some incredibly stunning residential pools. The difference between our pools and those pools however, is that they have no codes or restrictions to watch out for. When you’re building a pool in a condo building, there is so much more to consider than just a great design, so the fact that we took home this award means that we’re setting a standard for what’s happening in condos. We’re setting a tone for more interesting pool designs.

If you don’t have the pleasure of living in Pier 27 Phase 1 or 2, you’re probably curious as to what these pools look like.

First up is the swim spa. This is a small pool with a powerful jet that creates a current you can swim against – it’s kind of like an aqua trainer. It’s done in a high-end concrete and is fully tiled, making it look extra sharp. It’s significantly nicer than your typical aqua trainer, that’s for sure.

Next up: the plunge pool. This pool isn’t really meant to do laps, it’s more for residents to relax in and enjoy comfortably. The pool has custom stainless steel jet nozzles and is lit by LED lights. This space feels more like a spa than anything. It’s fantastic.

Each building, Phase 1 and 2, also has an outdoor pool and terrace that are mirrors of each other. The main attraction here (other than cooling off in the pool) is the water features that anchor each end of the pools. It’s comprised of a beautiful rock feature, a walkway, and two zen-like water features on the lakeside.

As you can see, we put a lot of effort into making our developments the best they can be for our owners. We’re setting a standard in Toronto for good quality product and amenities that set the tone for a healthy lifestyle, and we’re happy that it’s being noticed.

Congrats to all who were involved!
