Polson Pier is a venue with a view, plus so much more. Many Torontonians would also argue that it’s the best spot in the city to snap a shot of our beautiful skyline. It’s one of our favourite spots to hang out on the waterfront and there is a constant buzz thanks to Cabana Pool Bar in the summer, Sound Academy, the massive Solarium event space, and everything else on the 23-acre property. Needless to say, there’s lots to do down on this pier.
Over 1 million people – whether it’s residents of Toronto or tourists – hang out at Polson Pier every year. You’ve probably been to a concert or two at the Sound Academy before, or maybe spend a Saturday afternoon with friends at Cabana Pool Bar, but there are a ton of other things to get up to as well. For instance, did you know there’s a drive-in movie theatre? You can catch a movie down at The Docks all summer long. There’s also a driving range and mini golf course which you can book for an event, a go-kart track, and a rock climbing wall, if you’re looking for a fun activity to do with friends and family.

You’d think there hanging out by the pier would only be a summer activity, but you’re wrong. If you’re thinking of hosting a holiday party, the Solarium is the perfect space. You and your guests will hands down have the best view of the city in one of the most modern event spaces in Toronto. Also as we already mentioned, the Sound Academy has amazing concerts pass through all year round and it also happens to be one of our favourite venues in the city.
So next time time you’re headed on a walk or a bike ride, head to Polson Pier and check out what it has to offer. Oh, and don’t forget your camera!
